Privacy Policy
TrackingLens is a browser-based tool for checking email links and tracking values. This page explains what happens to the HTML you provide.
Last updated: 24 June 2026
Short version
TrackingLens currently runs its audit in your browser. The app does not intentionally upload, store, sell, or share the email HTML, URLs, or tracking values you paste or upload.
In plain English: the current app is designed so your audit content stays in your browser.
Avoid using TrackingLens with sensitive personal data, live customer data, or confidential campaign content unless you have permission and are comfortable processing it in this tool.
What data goes where
The audit itself is browser-based. Forms are different: if you choose to send feedback or a contact message, that message is submitted to TrackingLens so it can be read and answered.
What happens in the app
- Uploaded or pasted HTML is read in your browser so TrackingLens can inspect links, URLs, tracking values, and likely tracking pixels.
- Audit results, Quick Fix previews, fixed HTML, and report downloads are generated in your browser.
- Tracking pixel checks inspect the HTML source. TrackingLens does not load, request, or ping image tracking URLs.
- Public sample emails are loaded from TrackingLens only when you choose one from the sample menu.
- TrackingLens does not currently have accounts, payments, analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or a database for storing audits.
What TrackingLens does not currently collect
The current implementation does not intentionally collect or store:
- Email HTML you upload or paste
- Generated audit reports
- Fixed HTML downloads
- Campaign tracking values found in your HTML
- Account, payment, or login data
- Marketing analytics or advertising profile data
Cookies and analytics
TrackingLens does not currently set non-essential cookies and does not include Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing tracking scripts.
No cookie banner is shown because the current app does not use non-essential cookies. If that changes, this policy and the consent experience should be updated.
Hosting logs
Like most websites, the TrackingLens hosting provider may process basic technical request data needed to serve the site, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamp, and error logs.
These logs are separate from the email HTML you paste or upload. The current app does not send uploaded email HTML to a TrackingLens API for storage or review.
Feedback
If you choose to submit feedback, TrackingLens may process your helpfulness rating, feedback message, optional email address, browser user agent, and summary report statistics such as issue counts.
TrackingLens does not intentionally collect or store uploaded email HTML, fixed HTML, report files, private campaign data, or customer information as part of feedback submissions.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, TrackingLens may process your name if provided, email address, message, browser user agent, and submission time so the message can be read and answered.
Contact form submissions should not include uploaded email HTML, fixed HTML, report files, private campaign data, or customer information.
Downloads and retention
Downloaded files such as original HTML, fixed HTML, or report output are saved by your browser to your device. TrackingLens does not control those local files after download.
The audit state exists in the current browser page while you use the tool. Reloading or closing the page clears that in-page state unless your browser itself preserves form or page data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the use of your personal data. If you have a privacy question or request, contact hello@trackinglens.app.
If you are in the UK and are unhappy with how your privacy request is handled, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
Contact
If you email TrackingLens or use the contact form, your email address and message will be processed so the message can be read and answered.
